Shanta Driver, UEAALDF Director
Shanta Driver has been organizing for civil rights for over 35 years. She graduated in Psychology and Social Relations from Harvard in 1975, and graduated from Wayne State University Law School in 2002. Ms. Driver is currently a partner of Scheff, Washington & Driver, a leading Detroit civil rights and labor law firm.
Ms. Driver is responsible for formulating legal strategy for UEAALDF’s cases and coordinating the the legal work with education and mass organizing efforts. She also acts as the National Spokesperson for the organization.
Donna Stern, Treasurer and Administrator
Donna Stern graduated from the University of Michigan in History in 1981. She serves as Administrator, Treasurer and Fundraising Coordinator for UEAALDF, as well as paralegal for the UEAALDF legal team in major cases. A long-time political and union activist, she has led campaigns against racist and sexist discrimination in the workplace and been a strong advocate for workers’ rights.
